I think one of my favorite joyride memories was organizing a drive for my club at the time, BAMBOOZLED, to hit up the Twisted Sisters down near Kerrville. Only 5 or 6 members came out, but we spent the night out there in a hotel, and then spent all day driving along the famed roads (335, 336, 337). It even rained a little which added a bit of sketchiness to the drive, but we all played it safe and still made the most of it. I am eager to get back out there and do a run while the roads are dry!
